PeeWee seasons end at last week’s tournament
Imperial’s three PeeWee teams ended their seasons last week in Hershey at the Tri-County League tournament.
Imperial 1, seeded fifth, received a first round bye and lost to fourth-seeded Sutherland 10-19 July 5.
Imperial 1 fell behind early, but closed the gap with a nine-run third inning. Imperial 1 only trailed 10-11 before Sutherland put the game out of reach with an eight-run inning.
Dylan Miscles pitched for Imperial 1.
Rodrigo Robles and Noel Tarin each scored twice for Imperial 1.
Imperial 2, the seventh seed, won its first round game July 5 over No. 10 Ogallala 3. Imperial 2 lost the following night to second-seeded Ogallala 1.
Imperial 3, the tournament’s 11th seed, lost its first-round game to Ogallala 2, the sixth seed, July 5.
The Tri-County League All-Star Game was held Wednesday.
Taking part in the PeeWee Seniors game from Imperial 1 was Aaron Cervantes, Miscles and Robles, and for Imperial 2, Sawyer Sauder, Dietrich Pursley and Oliver Bellesteros.
Playing in the PeeWee Juniors All-Star Game were Imperial 3’s Grayson Owens, Braxton Weiss and Logan Siverson.
Beckett Richmond, Dawson Stafford, Asher Weiss and Ben Lechenberg were selected for the Pony All-Star Game.
