NPCC All-Star games feature WP, CCS talent

    Wauneta-Palisade’s Cali Cox’s Black team picked up a 69-56 win over high school teammate Chloe Stehno’s Gold team at Friday’s North Platte Community College All-Star Basketball Game.
    Chase County’s Kade Anderson’s Black team came out on the short end of the stick in the boys’ game, losing 71-84.
    In the girls’ game, the Black team jumped out to a 13-2 lead. The Gold team shrunk its deficit to eight points, 37-45, after four straight points by Stehno but wasn’t able to get any closer. Stehno led all scorers with 18 points.
    The boys’ game went Anderson and the Black team’s way early when it took a 13-8 lead. The Gold team tied the game at 17-17 and gained a lead that stretched to double digits in the second half.
