Longhorns boys basketball hands Bridgeport second loss of year

On the final night before the holiday moratorium, the Longhorn boys basketball team gave (5-1) Bridgeport their second loss of the season.
Chase County outscored the Bulldogs every quarter in the Thursday, Dec. 21, match-up.
The teams matched up very evenly and the score never got away from either team having a chance to win.
The Longhorns took a slight 9-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and increased it to three points by half.
In the third quarter it was more of the same with the Longhorns outscoring Bridgeport by three. Despite Bridgeport turning up the pressure in the fourth quarter, the Longhorns outscored them 12-11 to win the game 47-40 and bring their record to 2-4 on the season.
Jensen Olsen had a double-double, scoring 17 and pulling down 12 rebounds. Cameron Lempke followed with nine points.
Hayes Watts led Bridgeport in scoring with 17 followed by Logan Metz with 10. Free throw shooting hurt the Bulldogs, making only 3/10 from the charity stripe. The Longhorns where just over 50% from the line, making 8/15.
