Lady Broncos win Homecoming match against Arthur Co.

    The Broncos played a good match Friday against the Lady Wolves of Arthur County, winning in straight sets.
    The Wolves improved each set but couldn’t find a way to get a win.
    The Broncos where never really pressured in the first two sets, winning with comfortable margins of 25-16 and 25-17.
    In the third set the Wolves threatened but the Broncos shut the door on them winning 25-23 to take the match.
    Peyton Cox led the Broncos in kills with 15 followed by C. Parrish with 4, GraCee Goings and Lilly Dinnel with 3 each and McKenna Doetker with 1.
    Serving; Maggie Dewester had 5 aces followed by Ryleigh McCrumb, Cox and Emma Acton all with 4. Goings had 3 and Jewel Holthus 1.
    Cox led the serving percentage with 93.3, McCrumb 87.5, Goings 86.7, Holthus 85.7, Acton 85 and Dewester 71.4.
    Holthus, Dinnel and Izzy Stehno each had 3 blocks, cox 2, Doetker and Parrish 1.
    Goings led in digs with 15, Cox 6, McCrumb, Dewester and Acton 5, Holthus 3 and Parrish 1.
    Acton was credited with 21 assists, Dewester 10 and Parrish 1.
    On serve receive Goings had 21, Cox 12, McCrumb 8, Parrish 4, Doetker and Dewester 2 each and Acton 1.
    The Broncos played Medicine Valley on Tuesday Oct. 10. Details of that game will appear in next weeks issue.
