Lady Broncos drop two to Southwest and M/HC

The Lady Broncos got off to a slow start Tuesday Sept. 12 against the undefeated Southwest Roughriders in Bartley.
This was the second time these teams have met this season with the first match going to Southwest in straight sets.
Southwest took control early in the match winning the first set 12-25.
The Lady Broncos bounced back in the second set and had a chance to take it after being tied at 24 but the Roughriders shut the door winning 24-26.
In the third set the Lady Broncos kept themselves in the match but went down 19-25 bringing the Roughriders record to 9-0.
On Thursday Sept. 14 the Lady Broncos traveled again, this time to Hayes Center to take on the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves.
Wauneta couldn’t find it’s groove in the first set falling 17-25 to the wolves.
The Lady Broncos would improve each set but it wasn’t enough to top the Wolves, losing the next two sets 18-25 and 22-25.
Next action:
The Lady Broncos traveled to Paxton for a tournament starting at 4 p.m. MT. on Tuesday Sept. 19. Results will be in the next edition of the paper.
