Girls even record at 6-6 with win over Perkins Co.

    The Lady Longhorns outscored the Lady Plainsmen in every quarter Thursday, Jan 11 in Grant and brought home a 39-27 win. That brings the Lady Longhorns record to 6-6  as they ride a four game winning streak.
    Chase County scored the first five points of the game, but the Plainsman started hitting some shots and climbed back to keep the game within five at the end of the first quarter, 15-10.
    The Longhorns scored eight points in each of the remaining three quarters, while holding Perkins County to five, six and six.
    The Horns committed 16 turnovers, compared to 22 by the Plainsmen. The big difference was the Horns scored 21 points from the turnovers, while the Plainsmen could only score 11.
    Points in the paint was where the Longhorns shined with 22, while Perkins County only got inside for six.
    Olivia Spady led the night in scoring with 14 points. Spady was also credited with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. Landree McNair led the team in rebounds with 7.
    Perkins County only had three players score on the night, led by Madison Potts with 13.
    The win was to close to the SPVA Tournament to affect the seeting. Chase County enters the tournament seeded #4 while Perkins County held #3.
