District wrestling info released by NSAA

The Chase County and Wauneta-Palisade wrestling teams now know where they will be headed for the post season.
The C-4 district, including CCS, will be at Broken Bow Feb. 10. Other teams include  Amherst, Bridgeport, Chadron, Gibbon, Gordon-Rushville, Gothenburg, Hershey, Hi-Line, Kearney Catholic, Minden, Mitchell, O’Neill, Ord and Valentine.
Also hosting Class C districts are Thayer Central, C-1;  Boone Central, C-2; and Battle Creek, C-3.
Wauneta-Palisade will travel to Bayard Feb. 9-10 for the Class D-4 district. Also at the site will be Banner County, Brady, Crawford, Dundy County Stratton, Garden County, Hay Springs, Hemingford, Hitchcock County, Hyannis, Kimball, Leyton, Maxwell, Medicine Valley, Minatare, Morrill, Mullen, North Platte St. Patrick’s, Paxton, Perkins County, Sandhills Valley, Sioux County, South Platte and Sutherland.
Other Class D sites will be Weeping Water, D-1; Shelby-Rising City, D-2; and Pleasanton, D-3.
The four districts of girls wrestling have been split into eight subdistricts to be held Feb. 2-3.
    Classes A, B, C and D are combined in girls wrestling with the top 16 Schools being  placed in districts by using a serpentine method with returning state points as the means of assignment.
Wauneta-Palisade has been placed in Sub-district 4A at Gothenburg. Also included in the sub-district are Ainsworth, Anselmo-Merna, Bertrand, Brady, Dundy County Stratton, Gering, Gothenburg, Grand Island, Hi-Line, Lexington, Loomis, Maxwell, McCook, Minden, Overton, Paxton, Sandhills/Thedford, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, South Loup, Southern Valley, Southwest, Sutherland.
The Longhorns will make the short trip to Perkins County. Other teams in Sub-district 4B are Alliance, Bayard, Bridgeport, Conestoga, Garden County, Gordon-Rushville, Hay Springs, Hemingford, Kimball
Leyton, Mitchell, Morrill, North Platte, Ogallala, Omaha North, Sandhills Valley, Scottsbluff, Sidney, South Platte and Valentine.
    Broken Bow will host the District 4 meet Feb. 9, one day ahead of the boys district meet.
    Other district sites are Battle Creek, District 1; York, District 2; and Aurora, District 3.
    This year’s state championships for both boys and girls will be Feb. 15-17.
