Depth puts CCS girls track team out of reach at home

The CCS Lady Longhorns cruised to a win over second place Perkins County by 144 points. The win comes from the depth of the Longhorn team, scoring as many as six athletes in some of the events.
    In the 200 meter finals, CCS had six runners compete out of the eight. Five of the eight top finishers in the discus, triple jump and 400 meter dash were Longhorns.
    The Longhorns also scored with two teams in all four of the relays.
    First place finishers on the day were, Ella Colson winning the 200m dash, the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams, Avery Beemer in the pole vault, Katelyn Stamm in long jump and Peyton Owens in the triple jump.
    The girls set 47 personal bests enroute to winning the meet.
