CCS Wrestlers travel to Mitchell
CCS took five girls and three of the boys JV wrestlers to Mitchell on Friday Jan. 26. The girls came home with four medals, while the JV boys came home with some good experience with mat time.
Lizbit Mireles (10-10), Haley Rusher (24-5) and Brooke Schilke (21-8) all brought home second place finishes. Kara Nau (2-8) returned to action, picking up a third place. Iris Robles (5-12) rounded out the girls team.
For the JV boys, Conner Stromberger (3-12) scored the only points in the Varsity tournament, winning by medical forfeit over Brayden Duffield of Torrington, Wyoming.

Girls Subdistricts
The girls wrestling team will attend the sub-district meet in Perkins County on Feb. 3. All girls who advance will compete in districts for a chance to compete at State Wrestling. The girls Districts will be held Friday Feb. 9 in Broken Bow, with the boys Districts on Saturday, Feb. 10.
