CCS volleyball wraps up

Head Coach Kristi McNair said she was proud of the way her team improved throughout the year.
“We have a very tough schedule at the beginning of the season and the girls didn’t let it get them down.”
“There were a lot of very close sets this year and also quite a few that we were down six or seven points and the team never gave up. We pushed through and even came back to win a few of them,” McNair said.
Coach McNair stated she was proud of the positivity and the leadership her two seniors, Tristan Nordhausen and Kylee Wiest, brought to the team. They were both good role models for the younger players.
McNair said, “It was great to have quite a few underclassmen who stepped up and grew into wonderful players. I am excited for the future of this team.”
The highpoint of the season was winning the conference tournament and seeing the confidence grow in the girls.
Coach McNair also acknowledged that the JV team did a great job this year going 9-4 on the season and not having the full team on a few of the matches due to triangulars.
McNair believes that a team gets better by playing good volleyball and the JV girls brought great energy and attitude to every practice.
The varsity played a lot of teams that made the finals at districts and four teams that are in the State Tournament.
