CCS students head to Thedford, Stapleton rodeos
CCS students participated in rodeos in Thedford at the Thomas County Fairgrounds on Saturday May 18th and Stapleton at the Logan County Fairgrounds on Sunday May 19th. On both Saturday and Sunday, Alex Nelson and Wyatt Krausnick came away with no time in the Tie Down event. However, both put in a good effort and made significant progress. In Team Roping, Wyatt Krausnick and partner Lynsie Lancaster from Hastings ended the weekend with no time. Alex Nelson and Jason Nelson got no time on Saturday but ended up with a time of 19.210 on Sunday, which earned them 7th place for the day. Kathya Aragon received a time of 24.912 in Pole Bending on Saturday and improved to a time of 24.495 on Sunday. In Goat Tying, Abby Spicer received no time on Saturday but came away with a time of 10.810 on Sunday. Aragon earned a time of 20.026 in Barrels on Saturday but ended Sunday with no time. Spicer received a time of 25.668 on Saturday and shaved off a few seconds on Sunday with a time of 20.180. The spring High School Rodeo season is nearing its end with only 5 rodeos left.
