Bartels said this week is a great opportunity for CCS to gain some momentum heading into the SPVA tournament. Brackets were released Wednesday.
“We have only played two games in the past three weeks, so it will be nice to get three games in this week against very quality opponents,” he continued.
Chase County hosted Southern Valley (5-4) Tuesday.
Perkins County (4-5) will come to CCS Thursday. The Longhorns will head to Gothenburg (5-5) Friday.
Chase County’s Jan. 3 game against Class D1 No. 4 was postponed, but another matchup with the Tigers remains on the Longhorns’ schedule for Feb. 10.
