WP celebrates Halloween with a storybook pumpkin contest

Wauneta-Palisade elementary students grew a storybook pumpkin patch in their library. Students were encouraged to work together with their families to decorate a pumpkin to look like one of their favorite book characters. There was a wonderful selection and so many creative pumpkins. Best in show were voted on by students and staff. Here are the winners:
