Winter graduates earn degrees with job plans set

    It’s the semester break at colleges and universities, which also means winter commencement exercises.
    Young adults with ties to Chase County were part of graduation ceremonies in December at their respective colleges and universities.
Brady Gittlein
    A 2018 graduate of Chase County Schools, Brady Gittlein earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln last weekend.
    Ceremonies were held at Pinnacle Bank Arena where degrees were conferred upon 1,262 graduates over a two-day period, Dec. 16-17.
    He is the son of Jeremey and Amy Gittlein of rural Wauneta, and has returned to Chase County where he is working in the family’s cattle operation.
Evan Fisher
    Evan Fisher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial distribution from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in ceremonies conducted Dec. 16 on campus.
    He was one of 405 winter graduates conferred degrees last week.
    The 2019 graduate of Chase County Schools will be returning to Imperial to work at the Titan Machinery dealership as area business manager for the Imperial and McCook areas, and eventually move into a sales position.
    He is the son of Chad and Carrie Fisher of Imperial.
