Stamm, Sinclair CCS Students of the Month

Chase County Schools (CCS) Staff in correlation with CCS’ Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Team have nominated and selected February’s Students of the Month. Students of the Month are nominated by staff members based on positive qualities or actions that teachers have observed which go above and beyond the usual expectations. The nominations are reviewed by the PBIS team and two students are picked based on the number of nominations and what was observed by the nominators. February’s Students of the Month are Katelyn Stamm and Aaron Sinclair.
Stamm is a senior at Chase County Schools. She is the daughter of Diane and Jed Stamm. She is an active participant of both the softball and track teams. Stamm has a huge personality and never shies away from doing what is right. She will be greatly missed at CCS next year.
Mrs. Abigail Bauerle had the following to say about Stamm, “Katelyn has been an amazing TA this school year. She comes in with a positive attitude every day. She always takes time to chat with students as they come in. When working with students she is very patient and kind. Students often ask, ‘Can I go work with Miss Katelyn?’ In addition to this Katelyn helped behind the scenes with the 5th graders Sharing the Love project. She helped create a big banner that we will be able to use for future fundraisers. The students also created cookbooks to sell. Katelyn helped print, cut and bind many books. Her hard work ethic and kind spirit make her stand out as a TA.”
In addition to Mrs. Bauerle’s kind words, Mr. Lexter Solamillo added that, “Katelyn is diligent and hard-working.”
Stamm’s softball coach Mrs. Smith also shared many great things about her, “Katelyn is not afraid of hard work and puts in extra time to better herself. Her efforts and accountability set a good example for others to follow. Katelyn doesn’t mind taking on responsibilities that will help those around her to become better as well. Her contributions have contributed to the success of our school activities.”
Chase County’s second winner is Aaron Sinclair.
Sinclair is a freshman at Chase County Schools and is the son of Jean and Raymond Sinclair.
Sinclair is part of Yearbook, and is always willing to jump in and help out when needed. He is always positive and calm. We are excited to see how he grows over the next few years.
Mr. Calder Forcella had the following to share about Sinclair, “Aaron is an outstanding student that is always demonstrating safety, respect and responsibility. He has demonstrated tremendous growth with his academic skills this year and brings a great attitude to class everyday. He works well with his peers and teachers. He demonstrates great work ethic, integrity, attitude and effort on a daily basis and leads by example.”
In addition to the kind words from Mr. Forcella Mrs. Julie Jesse, had this to add, “Aaron consistently has a positive and upbeat attitude at school. He willingly works on his assignments and never hesitates to ask for assistance. Aaron also helps out his fellow students when they have questions or are challenged by a problem. Aaron will offer to gather up his fellow students, classroom tools to put away or papers to turn in to the teacher. Aaron brightens my day with a ‘hello’ and ‘how’s it going?’ He is a great student at CCS!”.
Congratulations once again to Aaron and Katelyn for being selected Chase County High School’s February Students of the Month!!
