Susan Peoples has joined the CCS staff as a K-6 art teacher.

New teacher continues family legacy at CC Schools

New to Chase County Schools teaching staff is Susan Peoples, a native of southeast Nebraska.
Peoples graduated from Peru State College in 2017 with a degree in Fine Arts followed by a degree in Art Education which she received in 2019.
She and her family moved to the area after accepting a position at CCS as a K-6 art teacher. Her classes here began her fourth year of teaching.
“My goal as an educator is to create a safe and fun learning environment for children to be creative and successful,” said Peoples. “I love education. I had many great teachers in my life show me that being an educator is one of the best careers one could have because we get to teach the future—we get to build the future—how awesome is that!”
Peoples said she came to education pretty naturally. She is continuing the legacy of a family of educators.
When not teaching, she pursues her creative passions with photography, pottery, watercolors and enjoying the great outdoors with her family, she said.
