Local graduates earn degrees from state’s colleges, universities

    It’s the season for commencement exercises including colleges and universities.
    Graduates with ties to Chase County are among those earning degrees this spring. Here is a look at some of them.
Jaclyn Paisley
    Earning a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling from Concordia University last weekend was Jaclyn Paisley of Imperial.
    After high school, the 2005 graduate of Chase County Schools attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, earning a BS degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood in 2009. She earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration with a Principal Endorsement from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2011.
    Paisley is completing her first year as grade 7-12 guidance counselor at Chase County Schools, where she was also an elementary teacher from 2010-2022.
    She and husband Garrett Paisley have four children, all who attend CCS. Her parents are Joel Burke and Sherri Burke, both of Imperial.
Parker Dillan
    Parker Dillan of Imperial was among the 217 undergraduates receiving degrees Saturday at Chadron State College.
    The 2019 graduate of Chase County Schools earned a BS degree in Rangeland Ecology. He is returning to Imperial to work for ASD Enterprises and owner Matt Hanna.
    He is the son of Brad and Terri Dillan of Imperial.
