Imperial places several at FFA districts

    On March 7, Imperial FFA members competed at FFA District Contests in Curtis.
    The categories of competition included Meats, Livestock Management, Ag Sales, Floriculture, Food Science, Poultry and Envirothon.
    Here are Imperial’s placings:
Floriculture
    2nd Place Team - Peyton Dubas – Purple, Peyton Owens – Blue, Westyn Mendenhall – Blue, Abby Spicer
    10th Place Team - Alex Johnson – Red, Adelle Eskew – Red, Addi Leibbrandt, Myla Brown
    6th Place Team - Madelynn Hanes – Purple, Thomas Reeves – White, Tristan Jablonski – White, Carson Terryberry
    Also competing: Tessa Smith, Ashlyn Heermann, Dylan Heermann, Anna Aragon, Kendra Kunkel – White, Odessa Zadina, Navy Havel, Miranda Spady
Food Science
    8th Place Harrison Foote – 23rd, Carter Kuenning – 41st, Austin Smith 49th, Noah Rau 60th, Parker Terryberry – 73rd, Beau Weiss 73rd.
Meats
    6th Place Team - Bailey Cook – Red, Michael McBride – Red, Jasmin Jenkins
Livestock Management
    7th Place – Abby Spicer, Jayme Gittlein, Miranda Spady, Odessa Zadina, Peyton Owens
    9th Place – Carter Leibbrandt, Jason Nelson, Kathya Aragon, Sean Heermann, Westyn Mendenhall
Poultry
    5th Place Team - Miranda Spady – 15th White, Peyton Owens – 17th White, Odessa Zadina, Abby Spicer
    Members have the opportunity to sign up for whatever category and team they wish to compete on, according to Advisor Jason Speck.
    If too many members are on a team, they are evenly spread out, he said.
    FFA will continue to have a busy schedule the rest of the year.
