Imperial FFA competes at district events
On Jan. 25, Imperial FFA members traveled to Curtis to compete in district events.
Imperial competed in three different contest: Ag Demo, Creed Speaking and junior high Quiz Bowl.
Peyton Owens, Miranda Spady and Odessa Zadina competed in Ag Demo, placing fourth, which makes them an alternate for state. The team demonstrated the process of butchering a chicken in under 10 minutes.
Jayme Gittlein placed 6th in Creed Speaking.
Both the Ag Demo team and the Creed Speaking participant received purple ribbons.
Twenty junior high quiz bowl students competed and one of its teams placed second. Runner-up team members were James Adle, Violet Sparrow, Luke Kuenning and Gigi Schaufenbuel.
