FFA chapter takes 23 to Indianapolis

Imperial’s FFA chapter is 23 strong at this week’s 95th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
FFA sponsor Jason Speck said two state champion teams and one individual member will be in competition.
Teams competing include Marketing Plan and members Markenna Terryberry, Remington Yaw and Jaiden Hill.
The Parliamentary Procedure team includes Mason Tyerman, Kylee Wiest, Walker Mollendor, Brayan Cazares, Brooke Schilke and Kathya Aragon.
Both teams will be competing in preliminary rounds on Thursday, Speck said.
Proficiency finalist Morayah Cupp will be on the main stage Thursday. She will also walk across the stage on Saturday morning when she receives her American FFA Degree.
Besides Speck, there are four other sponsors with the Imperial chapter in Indianapolis.
Those students not competing will be attending sessions, workshops, the expo and a rodeo while in Indianapolis, Speck said.
The chapter flew out of Denver Tuesday afternoon and will be back in Imperial on Saturday evening.
