CCS one of 18 teams at PCS speech invitational

Chase County Schools joined 17 other area teams at the Perkins County Schools Speech Invitational Jan. 29.
Three CCS speakers competed at the PCS meet:
SERIOUS - Brayan Cazares
ENTERTAINMENT - Annika McDaniel
PERSUASIVE - Mason Tyerman
Tyerman placed third over all with his speech about GMO’s.
“I was so proud of Mason. He is very hardworking, and he commits to analyzing his feedback and finding ways to tweak and improve his performance,” said Alexandria Schilke, speech coach.
“This was Annika’s first meet. I was so excited to have her get started,” Schilke continued.
Each meet provides all of the speakers the opportunity to have more judge’s feedback, which will only continue to help them improve, she said.
The next speech meet is at Sutherland on Feb. 5.
