Grant assistance available for MPCC online classes geared to local businesses

Mid-Plains Community College (MPCC) is offering online classes specifically suited to benefit businesses.
Businesses in Chase County will also have access to a grant program, provided by the city of Imperial, to pay for the courses, said Tyler Pribbeno, Community Development Director.
“These courses are for any business that may be looking to expand their social media know-how to reach more customers,” said Mary Pierce, MPCC campus administrator in Ogallala.
The program is called “What’s in Your Business Toolbox?”
These courses would be of great benefit to business owners and employees alike, she said.
There are six different business-oriented courses from which to choose.
The classes are self-paced and delivered to your inbox in one-hour long video format.
“With businesses becoming more and more a part of the virtual world, business owners are either creating a digital presence or looking to improve their existing websites,” Pierce said.
All the classes have been popular, she said.
“What an opportunity the city of Imperial is providing to its business owners—it’s quite amazing,” she said.
She encourages Chase County businesses to take advantage of this opportunity.
For ease of registration, Pierce asks that people interested in enrolling call the Ogallala campus at 308-284-9830.
Accessibility to these courses has been extended to the end of May, Pierce said.
