Summer Eidson — Jeremy Slechta

Summer Eidson and Jeremy Slechta were united in marriage on June 15, 2019 in Mayan Riviera Mexico at Beach Resort Unico.  
Summer, daughter of Joni and Bobbie Schilke of Lamar  and the late Robert Eidson, is a 1998 graduate of Holyoke High School in Holyoke, Colorado.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL).
She is the granddaughter of Gunner Martin of Lamar and Jackie Martin of Benkelman.
She currently works in medical sales for Allergan.
Jeremy, son of Richard Slechta of Verdel and Alice Slechta of Papillion, is a 1998 graduate of Papillion-La Vista High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree at UNL. Jeremy also received a full-ride football scholarship  for football where he played  all four years and went on to play two years in the NFL as a defensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston  Texans.  
Jeremy is currently a territory manager for NMC-Cat.
The ceremony took place in a private tropical garden overlooking the ocean and beach.
The couple was surrounded by 50 of their closest family and friends.
Summer was given away by her three brothers: Sage Eidson, Shay Martin and Frankie Budroe.
The bride wore a long, fitted, mermaid-style dress with lace overlay by Pronovias. She had a long, traditional veil and an elegant mix of blush and cream blooms with delicate white lilies and a mixture of eucalyptus greens for a bouquet.
Following the ceremony was a dinner and dance at a private terrace at the resort overlooking the ocean. There was delicate outdoor lighting, a mix of blooms and rustic candlelight.
The couple stayed in Mexico for a week after guests left.
They currently reside in Elkhorn.
