Tyson William Bardsley was born March 13, 1981, to Bill and Kay (Brogan) Bardsley.
Tyson graduated from Wauneta-Palisade High School in 2000. He then attended Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland, Kansas. He graduated in 2002 with a degree in Engineering Technology. After graduation he moved to Lakewood, Colorado and worked at Burns and McDonnell engineering firm.
Tyson married Sara Todd on Sept. 4, 2004. They moved back to Wauneta and Tyson started working at Miller and Associates Consulting Engineers in McCook, Nebraska.
Tyson and Sara welcomed their first daughter, Halle Marie into the world on Nov. 25, 2004 and their second child, Kenzie Mae on Dec. 16, 2008.
Tyson was a member of the Wauneta Volunteer Fire Department and active in the community. He loved music, golf, hunting, his dog Raven and being with family and friends. He was very athletic and loved sports and watching his daughters as they grew to love sports too. His daughters were the loves of his life.
In 2019, Tyson started working at Oak Creek Engineering in Kearney. He had a satellite office in Wauneta, until he suffered from a stroke in January 2021. He never gave up trying to recover from his stroke, while still working part-time at home and going to his daughter’s sporting events.
Tyson passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 22, 2022, in Wauneta. He was 41 years of age.
Left to cherish Tyson’s memory are his daughters Halle and Kenzie Bardsley; his parents Kay Brogan and Bill (Cindy) Bardsley; brother Tanner Bardsley; sister Shanna (Bardsley) and brother-in-law, Tim Schulte; nephews Roman and Riley Schulte, Emmitt and Kamm Bardsley and niece, Sawyor Bardsley; aunts Rhonda (Earl) Fawcett, Barb Shaffer and Janice Brogan; and cousins and many, many, friends.
Tyson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and LaVina Bardsley, Jack and Georgie Brogan; aunt Beverly Troudt; uncle Joe Brogan; and cousins Bill O’Neil and Matthew Shaffer.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, 10:30 a.m. (MT) at the United Methodist Church of Wauneta with Pastor Elias Mukindia and Rev. JR Kline officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta and a meal at the Wauneta Community Building.
Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, 5-7 p.m. (MT) at Liewer Funeral Home of Wauneta.
A memorial, in Tyson’s memory, has been suggested to the Bardsley family for a future designation.
