Terry Wayne Schuman

Terry was born in McCook, Nebraska, to Del and Carol Schuman on Dec. 14, 1959. He passed away on Aug. 30, 2023 in Denver, Colorado after a brief illness.
He was raised in Imperial and attended and was baptized at the Westside Church of Christ.
He graduated from Chase County High School in 1978 and went on to study a year at Doane and a year at Oklahoma Christian. He lived and worked in Lincoln for a couple of years before settling in the Denver area. He then got a job with Anderson News and worked there for 40 years. It was there that he met and married the love of his life, Leslie Karlin.
Three year old Ryan was a special blessing that come with the marriage and five years later another blessing when baby Jacob was born. One of Terry’s special joys in life was raising his sons.
Terry loved all sports, excelling in cross country running in high school and setting a record at state. He enjoyed golf, gardening and cooking up some creative dishes. He loved music and had a large music collection. He was fun loving and always in charge of planning Christmas games and activities.
He was preceded in death by his father Del Schuman, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Survivors are his mother Carol Schuman; his wife Leslie; sons Ryan Karlin (Amanda) and Jacob; grandsons August and Everett; brother Jeff (Diane); sisters Lori Schuman, Marilee Wallin (Jeff) and Julie Swan (Tim); many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; sister-in-law Nikki Irwin; and brothers-in-law Kirk and Kevin Nakata.
To know Terry was to love him. He will be missed.
