Rocky L. Yoder

Rocky L. Yoder, 68, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Hays Med Center in Hays, Kansas.
Rocky was born Nov. 17, 1954 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to Wilbur and Phyllis (Bedker) Yoder. He was one of five children. Rocky grew up in the Denver area but lived most of his adult life in Kansas.
He was employed by Land O’Lakes as a feed specialist. Rocky was known for his artistic wood carving talents. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Russell, Kansas.
He was united in marriage to Brenda Schmidtberger on Oct. 1, 2011.
Rocky’s surviving family include his wife Brenda; brothers Larry Yoder (Karen) of Hugoton, Kansas and Randy Yoder (Shelly) of Wauneta; sister Nancy Noble (Steve) of Lincoln; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents and sister Melody Burr.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on April 21, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Russell, Kansas.
