Richard Leroy Large

Richard Leroy Large, 90, died March 12, 2022. He was born near Wauneta Nebraska, to Everett and Jessie (Rathbun) Large. He was a proud US Marine Combat Veteran who served during the Korean War. He graduated from UNL in 1958, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Nebraska Public Power from 1958-1963, and for TMI before founding R.L. Large and Associates Consulting Engineers in 1971, specializing in Accident Reconstruction and Products Liability.
He is survived by his wife of 67 1/2 years, Charlotte, children Jon, Jim (Fran), Janelle (Mitch) McKeown and Mike (Bernadette), grandchildren Natalia Hemingway, Colin Large, Carolyn Large, and Max McKeown; brother Marvin Large, sister Peggy (Bernard) Christner. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Iris Large and sister-in-law Arlene Large.
Viewing is Friday, March 18 from 1-8 p.m. (family present 4-7 p.m.) at Butherus Maser & Love, 4040 A Street, Lincoln.  Private Family Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. Funeral Service is at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 19, Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 3825 Wildbriar Lane.
