Richard Dwayne Hicks

“Rich” was born on July 15, 1954 in Imperial, Nebraska. He lost his battle with cancer on Dec. 19, 2022 in Poulsbo, Washington. He was 68 years of age.
He leaves behind a wife, Linda Hicks (DeMaria), they were married Feb. 20, 1993 in Sterling, Colorado.
Rich is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Hicks and Doris Anderson (Bressie) and a brother Kenny Jo Hicks of Nashville, Tennessee. Also, by his first wife, Rosie Christmer (Andrew) of Palisade.
He is survived by his stepmother, Fran Hicks of Elk City, Oklahoma; sister, Cindy Cates (Charlie); two sons, Jason Hicks (Crystal) and Jimmy Hicks, both of Palisade; and sister-in-law, Michelle DeMaria of Castro Valley, California. Also, by his “sons”, Kenneth DeMaria (Janel) of Seattle, Washington and Michael DeMaria (Fabricio) of Poulsbo, Washington; “daughter”, Carrie Hall (John) of San Antonio, Texas; and 14 grandchildren.
After high school in Wauneta, Rich took various jobs related to farming. In California he drove truck, hauling manufactured homes for 25 years.
Rich was loved by all for his compassion, kindness, helpfulness and great sense of humor. He loved the Lord, his wife and life. We all miss him so very much.
