Nikola Katherine Stroh

Nikola Katherine Stroh, aged 74, went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was born May 3, 1948, to the late Marvin and Vesta Athey in Imperial, Nebraska.
Nikola graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1971 with an Art and Education Degree. She taught school in Nebraska before coming to San Angelo, Texas in 1980 where she taught reading at San Jacinto Elementary. She continued to teach as a substitute in every school in San Angelo for a period of eight years. She was the Adult Day Care activity director for twelve years. Nikola conducted summer art programs for the City of San Angelo, Ft. Concho and SAISD. She taught oil painting for the ASU continuing education department. Nikola was a member of the Sierra Vista Circuit Singers.
Nikola was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Scott Athey of Arora, Nebraska. She leaves to cherish her memory son Ryan Stroh and wife Summer; son Kurt Stroh; grandchildren Clayton Stroh and wife Jordyn, Riley Stroh, Cody Stroh, Jadon Stroh, and Anna Stroh; siblings Tim Athey and wife Patti of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Beth Larson and husband Larry of Taos, New Mexico, Patrick and wife Wendy of Anchorage, Alaska; longtime friends Terry and Jeanne Bryan and family, Dustin and wife Kelly Glidewell, Gage, Grayson and Grant.
