Nancy Lou Thalken

Nancy Lou Thalken, 65, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away peacefully Oct. 25, 2022, surrounded by family.
Nancy was born Jan. 6, 1957, in McCook to Dale and Viola Bischoff. They resided in Wauneta and Nancy attended Wauneta Public School until she graduated in 1975. Shen then went on to attend and graduate from the National College of Business in Rapid City, South Dakota. Nancy moved to Lincoln where she met and married the love of her life, Ladean Thalken on July 21, 1990.
Nancy and Ladean enjoyed traveling across the country together, visiting family and socializing with their close friends. She also was a Nebraska Huskers fan and attended several Husker football games. Nancy was active in her church, Trinity Lutheran. She worked for the Nebraska State Department of Correction in the accounting department for 33 years before she retired.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Ladean Thalken; brother, Bill (Rhonda) Bischoff; sister, Bev (Bryan) Kahler; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Viola Bischoff.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up to Trinity Lutheran Church.
