Myron L. Gardner

It is with heavy heart to announce the passing of Myron L. Gardner on July 31, 2022 at home in Arvada, Colorado.
He passed peacefully from liver and bone cancer at age 85.
Myron was born in Imperial, Nebraska on Oct. 19, 1936 to Calvin and Edna (Jaeger) Gardner. He was one of seven siblings which included Pauline Brandt, Maurine Ransdell (Deceased), Larry Gardner (Deceased) and wife Shirley, Delvin Gardner and wife Loneta, Butch Gardner and wife Pam, La Veta Reynolds and Leanna Goff.
Myron graduated at CCHS in Imperial in 1954. Married his childhood sweetheart, Carol Rhoads in 1959.
He was drafted into the Army in 1960. Stationed in Heidelberg, Germany with honorable discharge in 1962. He was in the Reserves until 1966. Blessed with two children, Diann (born in Germany) in 1962 and Darin born in Denver, Colorado in 1965 (Deceased) in 2012; three grandchildren, Brittany Gardner 30, Jared Hillard 25 and Jesse Hilliard 20.
Myron worked laying carpet and tile after the Army, then commercial construction at Saunders Construction Inc. for 32 years before retiring.
He loved country music and the Broncos. He loved camping and boating, cruises and traveling.
He was married to Carol for 63 years.
Memorial services were held Aug. 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Arvada United Methodist Church with burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd., Littleton, CO.
