Maxine L. Cox

Maxine L. Cox was born on Feb. 12, 1945, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Ruby Lee (Lowry) and Pleasant M. Harris. Maxine grew up in Imperial and graduated from Chase County High School in 1963.
Maxine married Robert D. Cox on May 4, 1963.
Maxine enjoyed playing cards and attending sporting activities. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids.
Maxine passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 5, 2021, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial. She was 76 years of age.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Pleas and Ruby Harris; brother, Jack Harris; and sister-in-law, Lea Harris.
Survivors include husband, Robert of Imperial; sons Dodd Cox and wife, Tonja, of Grand Island and Doug Cox and wife, Cindy, of Treynor, Iowa; 5 grandchildren Courtney Cox Shafer, KyLie Cox Wissing, Jennifer Cox Kemper, Jason Cox and Justin Cox; 6 great-grandchildren.
An Open House with Robert and the Cox family present was held Wednesday morning, Dec. 8, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (MT), at Liewer Funeral Home, Imperial.
No visitation, Maxine chose cremation.
