Marjorie Jean Darrington

Marjorie Jean Darrington, 86, of Wauneta, Nebraska, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away of natural causes on Thursday Oct. 21, 2021, at Wauneta Care and Therapy Center in Wauneta.
Viewing at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9 will be followed by a service at 2 p.m. at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, with Pastor Gary Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
A local memorial service will be held, Friday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at God’s Missionary Church, Wauneta, with Pastor Gary Hunt officiating.
Marjorie was born on March 18, 1934, to Elmer W. and Gertrude M. Darrington in Colorado Springs. She attended Christian Schools and the Peoples College in Colorado Springs and graduated in 1960 with a bachelor’s degree with a double major in elementary education and history.
Marjorie was a lifelong seamstress, teacher and a nutrition-and-health advocate. She was active in helping people improve their health through her Neo-Life GNLD business.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude M. and Elmer W. Darrington; her brother, Donald G. (wife Edith) Darrington; and nephew, Larry L Darrington Sr.
She is survived by three nieces, her brother Donald’s daughters: Phoebe Worley, Donna Shaw, and Judy Rogers; as well as several great nieces and nephews and a few great-greats.
