June Marie Genevieve Sharp was born June 24, 1927, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Edna Mary (Crouse) Curtis and Henry Worthington Curtis.  June graduated from Chase County High School, Imperial. June continued her education at the Denver Business College in Denver, Colorado, where she eventually met and married William “Bill” Sharp from Clarion, Iowa.
On Dec. 3, 1950, June and Bill were married at the United Methodist Church in Imperial. The couple settled in the Denver area where June worked as a bookkeeper and homemaker.  They raised four daughters.  After retirement, June and Bill made Imperial their home, enjoying both friends and family.
The most important thing in June’s life was knowing Jesus Christ as her Savior.  She was a dedicated church member and taught Sunday School for many years.  June gave much of her time to the local senior center and also enjoyed leading worship services at the Cheyenne Manor.  June loved ceramics, artwork, painting and crafts.  She also loved cooking for family and friends.
June passed away early Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, at the Cox Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  She was 95 years old and was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Sharp.
Survivors include daughters Susan Wilson and husband James of Nixa, Missouri, Cynthia Quinto and late husband Terry, of Sugarland, Texas, Connie Jenkins and husband Stephen of St. Francis, Kansas and Denise Pratski and husband Chester of Springfield, Missouri; 14 grandchildren William Wilson, Jamie Schoaf, Mason Wilson, Alicia Rendon, Micah Quinto, Jeremiah Quinto, Andrea Prescott, Scott Jenkins, Gabriel Jenkins, Krista Searcey, Shawna Roggie, Gretchen Whitmire, Joshua Bruen and Brianna Pratski; 44 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother Guy George Curtis and wife Ruth of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Visitation for June Sharp were held Sunday, Nov. 6, 2-6 p.m. (MT) at Liewer Funeral Home, Imperial.
Funeral services for June Sharp were held Monday, Nov. 7, 10 a.m. (MT) at the Imperial Berean Church, Imperial, with Pastor Matt Maxwell officiating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
Memorials, in June’s memory, have been suggested to the Chase County Senior Center, or Donor’s Mission Choice
