Iola June Egle, age 93, of Bentonville, Arkansas died May 9, 2021. Born May 3, 1928, to Edward and Esther (Heye) Rousselle in Max, Nebraska. Iola gave her heart to Jesus at the tender age of six years old. She graduated from Wauneta High School in 1945 and attended Fort Wayne Bible College in Indiana and Azusa Pacific Bible College in California. She married her “Love”, Donald Egle, Aug. 1, 1950. Together they farmed near Stratton and operated Egle Auction Service until 2001. Don and Iola retired in 2002 in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Iola enjoyed decorating cakes for all occasions, including weddings, and assisted many brides and grooms through her Egle Wedding Service. Iola collected and created recipes that inspired her to publish two cookbooks, as well as enter and win several recipe contests. She was an eloquent speaker, giving her life testimony at Christian Women’s Clubs in many states. Iola was a prayer warrior and showed God’s love in joyfully serving others with home-baked goods and acts of kindness.
