Glenda Leone Lattimer

Glenda Leone Lattimer was born Jan. 19, 1934, in rural Chase County, Nebraska, to Howard E. and Nina E. (Sawyer) Lytle. As a youngster she grew up and attended country school in Chase County.
Glenda married Jerome “Jerry” I. Lattimer on June 7, 1952, in Benkelman. The couple settled in San Diego, California, while Jerry served in the U.S. Navy. Glenda and Jerry then returned to Chase County and made Imperial their home.
Glenda operated a home cleaning business for many years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and had a great passion for raising animals of all kinds. Glenda especially loved to visit and spend time with her family.
Glenda passed away Sunday night, Nov. 5, 2023, at the McCook Community Hospital, McCook. Glenda was 89 years of age.
Survivors include daughter Dorothy Lattimer of Imperial; three grandchildren Julie (Bob) Pflum of Imperial, Jennifer (Del) Struckmeyer of Holyoke, Colorado and Joe (Alyssa) Quintana, of Norcatur, Kansas; eight great-grandchildren Meagan, Camron, Brandon, Austen, Hanna, Lacey, Nicholas and Joe Jr; four great-great-grandchildren Oaklee, Ryker, Oliver and Kreed.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome in 2004; brothers and wives Archie (Eva La Rene) Lytle, Orville (Parnel) Lytle, Doyle Lytle; and sister Dorothy Fern Lytle.
Memorial services for Glenda Lattimer will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, 10:30 a.m., at the Imperial Berean Church, Imperial, with Pastor Matt Maxwell officiating. Inurnment will follow at Chase Cemetery, rural Imperial.
A memorial in Glenda’s memory has been suggested to the McCook Humane Society, McCook, 100 South Street, P.O. Box 13, McCook, NE 69001.
