Fauniel Greim Kimberling

Fauniel Greim Kimberling was born on May 8, 1937, to Emma and Leonard Greim. She grew up on the family farm southeast of Champion, Nebraska. She attended Chase County High School where she met Vinton Kimberling. They married on Sept. 18, 1955. They made their home on Vinton’s homestead farm west of Champion.
Fauniel enjoyed being a wife, homemaker and mother. She attended to a large garden and yard every year. Farm life was demanding but enjoyable for her.
Vinton and Fauniel moved from the farm into Imperial. Fauniel enjoyed cross stitching and sewing. She made baby quilts for all of her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved visiting with family. California relatives would come to visit in the summers. They also loved going to Estes Park, Colorado.
Fauniel passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial. She was 85 years of age.
Survivors include: daughter Starla Vogt and husband, John, of Champion; sons Tim Kimberling and wife, Barb, of Columbus and Todd Kimberling of Ogallala; 14 grandchildren John M (Gail) Vogt, Geoff Vogt, Brandon (Courtney) Vogt, Janae (Brian) Gertsch, Andrew (Jennifer) Lowe, Ben Lowe, Alexis Gonzales, Sawyer Kimberling and Tyler (Celeste) Kimberling; and 22 great-grandchildren McKenzie, Kaden, Lily, Kyson, Liam, Delanie, Henlie, Isabella, Ollie, Cienna, AddiLee, Walker, Tucker, Weston, Mason, Riley, Joshua, Ericson, Jayce, Dustin, Axel and Athena.
Graveside service were held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, 11 a.m. (MT) at the Pleasant View (Crete) Cemetery, with Pastor Scott Adle officiating.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, 3-6 p.m. (MT)at Liewer Funeral Home, Imperial.
Memorials, in Fauniel’s memory, have been suggested to the Champion Community Center, the Pleasant View (Crete) Cemetery, Champion, and the Nebraska Children’s Home.
