Donna Raye McNair
Donna Raye McNair was born Aug. 10, 1937, In Imperial, Nebraska, to Glen and Elsie (Weiss) Case. She grew up and attended school in Imperial graduating from Chase County High School.
Donna married Jack L. Browning on Feb. 27, 1954, and the couple settled and made Imperial their home. Donna was employed for many years in resident care at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home and later as a physical therapist assistant at Chase County Hospital until retirement.
Later in life, Donna married Robert D. McNair on May 5, 1990. She was a lifelong resident of Imperial except the last twenty-two months making her home with granddaughter, Sayward, in Grand Island.
Donna was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial. She enjoyed playing cards especially, hand and foot, pitch, and bridge. Donna loved to read and watch John Wayne movies.
Donna passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, in Grand Island, Nebraska. Donna was 85 years of age.
Donna was preceded by her parents; husbands Jack and Bob; daughter Sandy; granddaughters April and Heather; grandson Wade; great-grandson Tristin; and grandsons-in-law Gaylen and Joe
Survivors include daughters Sue Eskew and husband, Bob, of Imperial, Shelley Morse of Grand Island, Stacy Reeder and husband Lynn of Manhatten, Kansas and Annie Catron of Bridgeport; sons Steven Browning and wife Kate of the Florida Keys, Bob McNair and wife Gini of Hotchkiss, Colorado and Barry McNair and wife Lori of Hot Springs, South Dakota; grandchildren Amy, Jenn, Zeb, Cory, Amanda, Sayward, Case, Aoife, Sean, Aodhan, Amber, Jessie, Betsy, Abbey, Simon, Casey, Daniele, and Frank; great-grandchildren Leigh, Jessyca, Carter, Addison, Cayden, Mikiah, Colbi, Evelyn, Andrew, Chris, Cody, Mariah, Skyla, Allana, Tristan, Ander, Maeve, Jack, Parker, Amber, Jessie, Kate, Austin, Arianna, Cody, Colton, Ty, Blake, Brynn, Sydney, Preston, Devin, Payton, Quentin, Kaylee, Cambree, Landon, Avery, Lyric, Lydia, June, Tyler, Samuel, Hanah, Tobias, and Jude; and great-great grandchildren Jaxson and Quinn
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor Scott Adle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
No visitation, Donna chose cremation.
A memorial, in Donna’s memory, has been suggested to the McNair family for a future designation.
