Donald O’Neil

Donald O’Neil, longtime resident of rural Wauneta passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at the Perkins County Community Hospital, Grant, Nebraska. Donald was 77 years of age. Donald’s loves in life were his family, cattle, and the land he farmed.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marilyn (Roschewski) O’Neil, of Rural Wauneta; children, Sandra (Doug) Reinke of Imperial, Kathleen (Marty) Misfeldt of Blair, Shaun (Mindy) O’Neil of Brighton, Colorado, Shannon (Sandy) O’Neil of Wauneta; grandchildren, Skylar Reinke of Hastings, Mitchel Misfeldt (Melissa Bavitz) of Prairie Village, Kansas, Avery Misfeldt of Blair, Madeline Misfeldt (Devon Vancura) of Ames, Iowa, Bo O’Neil of Hastings, Ella O’Neil of Wauneta and Tyler O’Neil of Wauneta; siblings, Ron (Nancy) O’Neil of Wauneta, Mary Carman of Imperial and Patti Fanning of Wauneta; brother-in-law, Keith (Dwana) Roschewski of Benkelman; numerous nieces and nephews.
As per Donald’s wishes, cremation was chosen with a private family inurnment held Sunday morning, Feb. 13, 2022, at the Riverside Cemetery of Wauneta, with Father Justin Wylie celebrant.
A memorial, In Don’s memory, has been suggested to the O’Neil Family for a future designation.
