Death Notice: Jim McKinney

    Jim McKinney, a longtime Wauneta resident, teacher and coach, died Tuesday evening, June 29 at the Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial. Jim was 72 years of age.
    Survivors Include his immediate family who are all from Wauneta: wife, Pat; daughter, Amy Rozelle and fiancé Trent Hill; son, Aaron McKinney and his wife, Monica; son-in-law, Jonathan Rozelle; and six grandchildren.
    Other survivors include his sisters who are all from Dix, Linda Rasmussen and her husband, Jack; Ruth Wurdeman and Eric Griffith; Sharon McKinney and her fiancé, Dan Dunnihoo.
    A private family inurnment will be held Saturday, July 17 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11 a.m. MST at the Wauneta community building in Wauneta.
    A memorial has been suggested to the McKinney family for a memorial fund scholarship to be awarded to a Wauneta-Palisade Schools graduating senior.
