Death Notice: Beverly Jean Morgan

    Beverly Jean Morgan, 76, passed away Aug. 13, 2023 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion, Kansas. She was born June 17, 1947 in Emporia, Kansas, to Dale and Wilma (Little) Martin of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.
    Bev attended Chase County Community High School, in Cottonwood Falls and graduated in 1965. After she finished high school Bev attended Beauty School. Bev married Mike Morgan of Burns, Kansas in February 1969. They were married 50 years before his passing in September of 2019.
    They lived on a farm in the Wonsevu/Burns area. Bev helped around the farm and loved knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing. She was very creative and could make anything to keep her farming family warm in the winter. Her grandsons kept her busy patching jeans or putting together Halloween costumes. She enjoyed visiting with people and being involved with the Wonsevu Ladies Aide and Wonsevu Community Church. She loved going to her grandchildrens sporting events when she could and spending time with them.
    Bev leaves behind son Max (Paula) Morgan of Ramona, Kansas; grandsons Ryan (Rose) McDermott of Texas and Rod McDermott; and great granddaughter Hanne.
    Son Brad (Tonja) Morgan of Cedar Point, Kansas; grandsons Tate and Drewe Morgan.
    A younger sister Becky (Ed) Baublitz of Pembroke Pines, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Bev was preceded in death by her husband Michael W. Morgan in 2019.
    A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 2, 2023 at Burns Cornerstone Bible Church in Burns, Kansas, officiated by Pastor Jim Helzer. Online condolences at www.jostfuneralhome.com.
