Bradford Leo Rauch, formerly of Holyoke, Colorado died peacefully in his sleep on March 9, 2022, at the age of 71 in his new home in Oshkosh, Nebraska. Brad was born Aug. 28, 1950, in Concordia, Kansas, to Carman and Mary Alice Rauch and was the eldest of six children.
Brad grew up in Miltonvale, Kansas, Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1968. After attending college at UMKC, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War as a communications expert.
After his time in the Army, Brad lived in Springfield, Oregon, where he worked for the U.S. Forestry Service and married Frances Laflin of Clay Center, Kansas. Brad and Fran then moved to Minneapolis, Kansas, where Brad went on to work for Ottawa County Feeders before finding his long-term position with Timmerman & Sons feedlot in Atwood.
Brad enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, spending time with friends and, most of all, being with his grandkids. He had a special bond with each of them.
Brad is survived by his children, Levi and Allison Rauch of Oshkosh and Sara and Jason Heermann of Imperial; grandchildren, Madie Rauch of Oshkosh and Sean Heermann, Ashlyn Heermann and Dylan Heermann, all of Imperial; parents, Larry and Mary Mancini of Tulsa, Oklahoma; siblings, Kimberly and Steve Knapp of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mark Rauch and Dennis Creedon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Craig Rauch and Greg Byers of Oklahoma City; and four nieces and four nephews.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Carman Rauch; brother, Pat Rauch; sister, Viki Lyn Rauch; wife, Frances Rauch; and daughter, Angela Rauch.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17, at 10 a.m., with a viewing beforehand at 9 a.m., at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center. Visit https://www.nsrfh.com/ for details.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at Sunset View Community Center in Holyoke.
Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Oshkosh is assisting the Rauch family with local arrangements.
