Ardis Tena Lorimer

Ardis Tena Lorimer, age 88, of McCook, Nebraska, passed away on Nov. 3, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.
Ardis was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Cambridge, Nebraska to Ovra Benjamin and Josephine Florence (Heitman) Trosper. She was one of 13 siblings who attended school in Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge High School with the class of 1950.
On Dec. 24, 1957, Ardis married Willard Lorimer in Lincoln. To this union, three children were born: Michael, Mark and Tena.
The family eventually moved to the Wauneta community where they made their home until moving to McCook in 1994. Ardis was employed by Parker Hannifin in McCook from 1978 to 1994 when she retired.
Ardis was a member of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening, canning numerous batches of green beans from her garden over the years. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved to spend time with them.
Ardis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Lorimer; three brothers: Elden, Gary and Fredrick Trosper; six sisters: infants Twila and Marie, Geneva Fuller, Roberta Menges, Mildred Farr and Donna Wier.
Those left to celebrate her life include her children: Michael (Laura) Lorimer of Imperial, Mark Lorimer of Broken Bow and Tena (Brian) Gebers of Lincoln; brother, Wren (Lou) Trosper of Arapahoe; sisters: Joyce Boyer of Smith Center, Kansas, and Dixie (Leonard) Swanson of Curtis; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and life-long friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday morning, Nov. 9 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook. A funeral service followed the visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Kelley officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Cambridge.
