Annie Elizabeth McDonald Nunamaker

Annie Elizabeth McDonald Nunamaker was born July 10, 1951, in Johnstone, Scotland, to James and Agnes (McNamara) Murney. As a young girl, Annie attended school in Scotland and graduated from St. Margaret’s High School.
On Dec. 24, 1982, Annie married John Allen Nunamaker in Johnstone, Scotland, while John was serving in the U.S. Navy. The couple first settled in Johnstone and then relocated to several locations following John’s Naval career. Annie and John eventually moved to the U.S. in 2008, settling in Wauneta, Nebraska.
Annie was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing games, traveling, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Annie passed away early Saturday morning, May 22, 2021, at the Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte. She was 69 years of age.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; brother Matthew Murney; and sister Agnes Murney.
Survivors include, husband, John Nunamaker of Wauneta; sisters, Margaret Gardiner, Sarah Murney and Mary Murney, all of Scotland; brothers, James Murney and Frank Murney, both of Scotland; mother-in-law, Ruth Nunamaker of Stratton; sisters-in-law, Paula Brown of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, Edna Jessup of Trenton and June Boyd and husband Joshua of Stratton; many numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, May 25, 10:30 a.m. (MT) at the SW Nebraska Holiness Church of rural Wauneta with Nathan Kline officiating. Interment followed at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Stratton.
Visitation was available during services on May 25, at the SW Nebraska Holiness Church, rural Wauneta.
A memorial has been suggested to the American Cancer Society.
