Alberta Mae Grosbach

Alberta Mae Grosbach, 88, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8:35 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Cedars Health Care Center.
Alberta was born in Quinter, Kansas on July 6, 1933, a daughter of Nora Ellen (Bowman) and Samuel Sylvester Ebbert.
Alberta attended Quinter grade school and graduated from Quinter High School, Quinter, Kansas in 1951. She then attended McPherson College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Home Economics in 1955.
She was a member of Enders Church of the Brethren, Enders, Nebraska and in later years she was a member of Church of the Brethren in McPherson.
Alberta enjoyed quilting, making sweet rolls, loved her church family and McPherson College, was very involved in Special Education and loved spending time with her friends and family.
Alberta Mae Ebbert was united in marriage to Ronald Eugene Grosbach on Aug. 20, 1954 in Quinter, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. In 1955 they established their home in Enders. They farmed together there until 1988, when Ron passed away. The couple was blessed with the birth of 5 sons, Dale, Norman, Lyle, Roy and Gary. Alberta continued to reside in Enders until she retired to McPherson in 2017.
She is survived by her children, Dale Grosbach and his wife Deborah, of Gladstone, Missouri, Norman Grosbach and his wife Alice, of Gilbert, Arizona, Lyle Grosbach and his wife Cynthia, of Rochester, Minnesota, Roy Grosbach and his wife Betty Jo, of Evergreen, Colorado and Gary Grosbach, of McCook, Nebraska.
She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Bryan, Alan, Melanie, Daniel, Jennifer, Adam, Andrew, Matthew, Nora, Olivia and Paula and 4 great grandchildren, Galina, Emma, Hazel and Lily.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Kurtz, Bernard and Charles; and her sister Bernadine.
Memorial services will be held on June 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at McPherson Church of the Brethren, McPherson, Kansas, and July 2, 2022 at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Imperial.
Private interment at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta.
