Live life with daily adventures, zero regrets

You guys, it is officially summer!
Well, I guess not “officially” since the Summer Solstice, the first official day of summer, is June 21 and it’s only the eighth.
But let’s not get caught up in those little details!
School/college is out, the sun is still shining after 6 p.m., the pool is open, gardens are planted and it’s finally socially acceptable to eat popsicles for breakfast ... right?
The sun is shining on all the potential opportunities of a new day, and here I am—stuck at work.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love my job and everything that I do, but after talking to my friends who are traveling Europe, going to the lake during the week or simply sleeping the whole day away, I can’t help but allow 10.3 percent of me be jealous.
Some of these friends who are back for the summer, have recently asked me some pretty interesting questions.
They wanted to know if I’m going to regret diving into a career at the age of 20, without having a little “fun” first. They were interested to know if I had placed too much responsibility on my shoulders trying to renovate a house, own two dogs (oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I got another dog!), excel at my job and also try to have somewhat of a social life.
In response to these very prying and thought provoking questions I can honestly say—no.
To be quite honest, some of these question shocked me. It hadn’t even occurred to me that I wasn’t having “fun.”
I don’t think a day has gone by without something crazy and wonderful happening.
For example, just this morning I had a stand off with a skunk as I was collecting eggs. I walked out of the chicken coop and it was just sitting there waiting for me.
