The Imperial Volunteer Fire Department (IVFD) received a fire call at 11:06 p.m. last Thursday night near 314 Avenue and 724 Road, south of the Dundy County line.

Bottoms bike for childhood hunger
Local bicyclers Mark and Renae Bottom recently completed a roughly 230 mile bike tour across southwest Nebraska and northwest Kansas.
A Day of Sell-A-Bration
The Southwest Nebraska Entrepreneurs and Crafters took over the courthouse lawn on Saturday. Gayla Mayden, organizer of the group, said this is the seventh year their group has held this event.
