The Imperial Country Club will be hosting a benefit for Emery Kay Vrbas this Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the golf course.
Fourteen portraits will be exhibited in the 35th annual Sheldon Statewide Exhibition Oct. 4-28 at the Prairie Arts Center, 5th and Jeffers, in North Platte.

Wauneta-Palisade was dominant on both sides of the ball in its 54-14 win over South Platte Friday night. Offensively, Hunter Miner, left, hauled in three touchdown passes, including this first-quarter catch for 59 yards, and totaled 131 yards. The Chase County volleyball team improved to 5-2 last week. The Longhorns’ only match came against Yuma (3-3) Sept. 7.
