Wauneta holds Santa Saturday

Santa didn’t just pass out goodies at Wauneta’s Santa Saturday this weekend, he also got a little something for himself. Harvey Fanning, with mom Vanessa Fanning and sister Eliza Fanning, gave Santa a gift of his own. Besides Santa’s visit, the Wauneta Chamber held a decorated light pole contest and the PTO held its Parade of Lights. The Wauneta Post Office won the light pole contest, followed by HomeTown Agency and Sandhills State Bank. The Wauneta-Palisade cheerleaders were first in the school groups division of the Parade of Lights and Chase County Hospital and Clinic won the other groups division. Visitors were treated to hot cocoa and cookies courtesy of the Chamber while waiting for Santa.
