Saturday, June 27th, the Vintage Tractor Fanatic Club of Imperial met at the COOP in Enders for a 26 mile tractor drive.
The group traveled the river road into Wauneta, where they made a stop at the Wauneta Care and Therapy Center, visiting with residents for about an hour. A grandpa and four small children also stopped and checked out the six tractors on display.
The group traveled down main street of Wauneta, stopping for lunch at the Goodtimes Bar, where the food and service were both excellent.
From there, the group traveled up the old Highway 6 to Little Grand Canyon, stopping to take in the view.
The group continued down old Highway 6 to Milborn Seeds, where Nick Rigel gave a presentation on their operation. The group left Milborn Seeds and returned to Enders to wrap up the drive.
Those in attendance were Stan and Janell Cross of Lamar, Bob and LeAnn Golding of Stratton, Eldon Zimbleman and his dog Bailey of St. Francis, Kansas, Tom Solko of Herndon Kansas, Mike Poe of Holyoke Colorado, Wayne “Sparky” Christner of Enders and Dan Rowley and Mary Sparks of Imperial.
The group welcomes others to participate on their next ride, so if you are interested, check out their flyer and call the number on it to participate.
